Our online magazine came into being during the 2006/2007 school year. It was originally launched to publish short articles aimed at informing and stimulating discussion and debate at classroom and school level. Pieces focusing on school-based activities and events, locally-rooted legends and traditions, poems and nonsense rhymes could also be contributed.
The aims and objectives of our online magazine include:
- promoting student interest in the world around them;
- getting students to used to and skilled at carrying out research;
- enabling students to access information and data, to seek out and evaluate sources of information;
- encouraging students to write articles focusing on school-related events and issues;
- improving pupils’ communicative and creative skills;
- promoting and enhancing peer-to-peer learning among students;
- fostering a sense of belonging to the school community and to one’s town.
Beside helping students build their confidence and upgrade their skills in researching, planning and writing articles, teachers are also warmly encouraged to submit pieces addressing the above topics, as well as research / practice-based ones.
The issues published in year 1 also feature articles by former Comenius project partners.
